Description: Sissacherstrasse in Basel was one of the first that earned the title "solar street" for having so many solar PV or hot water collectors on their roofs. As you can see, the roofs are perfectly pointing SOUTH.
Why I love this solution: It is not just an individual project, but it shows the power of groups and social influence. Once the first few put solar power on their roof, others get infected by the idea - and then the whole group gets celebrated (there was a street sign showing prominently their collective achievement).
