Description: The community based organization called Fragments of Hope was the first in Belize to adopt a coral growing technique called micro-fragmenting. Micro-fragmenting is an innovative process of transplanting live broken coral that speeds coral tissue regeneration by 25-50X. Today, Fragments of Hope restore and replenish Coral Reefs and have expanded coral replenishment work in 10 different reef sites.

Why I love this solution: I love this solution because it gives us hope that our coral reefs have the ability to replenish after immense climate change impacts and severe losses in our coral reef systems.

  • To save the planet my proposal is that we people should stop spending so much water when we bathe, we should plant trees and, above all, stop throwing our garbage into the sea.
