Description: Our 55+ community joined the county composting project this spring. The effort included providing residents with under-sink compost bins and a starter set of rapidly composting bags, as well as a food scraps container for each cluster of homes.

Why I love this solution: I love this solution because it keeps food waste out of the landfill. It saves water and inorganic fertilizer costs for the growers. It also reduces Rossmoor residents' landfill costs. And besides that, it shows that you can teach old dogs new tricks!
