Description: By learning how to buy foods that are naturally sourced and composting we help maintain a full life cycle for foods from soil, going back to soil as rich compost. Composting is placing leftover remnants in a composting bin and either setting up a composting area in your backyard or working with area farmers to take the compost. The farmers can then allow the composting material to break back down to nutrient rich matter and add it back into their existing soil. You can do the same thing on your own property! This reduces waste and creates much needed nutrient rich soil for future food! We will in apartment style housing and are very fortunate to have local enthusiasts who understand the importance of this full circle system and have started a local composting company helping individuals like me share my compost with local farmers who sell their food at farmers markets in the city and at area coops!
